About the event

A member-led week of Safeguarding Refresher Training for small charities working globally and their Trustees. Facilitated by Dan Hope from Strengthening Families and Children (SFAC) and Gary Trundell from Global Safeguarding. Both have fantastic levels of experience and are experts in their field and we are hugely lucky to have their support in this training. Dan and his organisation SFAC have over 25 years of experience working in 61 countries with a workforce based in various countries.

“We have worked with over 110 orgs from the UK to overseas. We will bring that experience into the safeguarding workshop alongside our work in the UK completing safeguarding reviews for organisations.”

Thanks to Julian Page from Mikuyu Tanzania for helping to organise this valuable series of sessions.

There will be three sessions focussing on different safeguarding-related topics. You are welcome to join all or any of the sessions. They will be recorded.

All sessions are 12.30 - 1.30pm UK time.

  • Session 3: 11th September - Creating safeguarding policy and procedures including internal and external reporting to other agencies and charity commission under serious incident reporting duties.
