About the event

A peer-led forum to create space for discussion and sharing learning on programmes that address or consider environmental issues. This takes place at 9.30am on the last Friday of every month. Expect to discuss things like tree-planting, composting toilets, regenerative farming, solar energy, construction, off-setting and more.

In February's session we'll hear from Sean and Lucy from Tree Aid, who will be sharing their approach, including...

  • Forest governance (legal access and rights)

  • Natural Resource Management (do people have the skills and know-how to manage forest sites and improve their own farmland production to reduce pressure on forests?)

  • Livelihoods – we have value chain development around Non-Timber Forest Products to link forest resources to income for local families – strengthening the motivation to protect trees

  • Food and Nutrition: how we use trees to address this in an agroforestry and nutrition garden setting.
