About the event
Formerly known as our Governance Forum, the Trustee Space is for you if you are on the board of a small charity working globally, or if you are involved in your charity's governance or leadership in other ways. We meet quarterly on Friday mornings to learn, connect, ask questions and encourage each other.
The topic for November's session is The Board’s Role in Financial Sustainability.
What does effective board leadership on financial sustainability look like for a small international development charity?
With funding under pressure, how can trustees and charity leaders work together to strengthen financial resilience, support income generation and make difficult choices about priorities?
This one-hour Trustee Space will open with a short introduction drawing on current sector trends, Lloyds Bank Foundation’s organisational resilience guidance and the Charity Governance Code. We’ll then share experiences and work through practical challenges with peers.
Bring a question, dilemma or approach to share, and leave with an action to take back to your board. We’ll also invite suggestions for future topics and guest speakers.
Make sure you register to receive the joining details, or contact janine@sidcn.org if you'd like to find out more. Please do invite your organisation's board members and leaders to join us as.
