SIDCN AGM 2026: Thank You For Joining Us

On 31 January 2026, more than 80 members and friends of the sector joined us online for the SIDCN AGM. It was a brilliant opportunity to catch up with members, make new connections, share updates from the network, and learn from a fantastic group of guest speakers.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend. We were really encouraged to see so many organisations represented and hope everyone enjoyed the event as much as we did.

Highlights From the Day

Alongside network updates and trustee announcements, we had four learning breakout sessions, giving attendees the chance to explore practical topics relevant to small international development charities.

Sessions included:

The sessions were packed with practical insights and sparked great conversations. Many members shared how useful it was to hear from experts across fundraising, finance, governance and learning resources.

The second breakout session also provided a space for members to share their ideas and help shape the next 10 years and more specifically kick-start our strategy review this year, and we’re grateful to everyone who contributed their thoughts and feedback.

Watch the Recordings

If you couldn’t join us on the day – or want to revisit any of the sessions - recordings are now available in the SIDCN member area and can also be found on our YouTube channel. These include the main AGM session and all four breakout talks.

10 Years of Connection: Member Reflections

During the event, we marked 10 years since the SIDCN community began as a Facebook group. One of the highlights of the event was hearing directly from members about what SIDCN has meant to them over the last decade in this short video, which you can watch below.

Thank you

A big thank you to our brilliant speakers for delivering such engaging sessions, and to everyone who joined us and contributed to the discussions. It was another great reminder of the strength, experience and collaboration within the small global charity community.

“We’re a community driven by peers caring for peers. A community keen to learn and share and to do better development. To tackle difficult discussion and unlearn practices of the past. To be equitable and to speak up for the little guy. To shift power and work equitably.”

Amber Shotton, SIDCN Chair, reflecting on 10 years of SIDCN.
